Xtian’s (Christian) tattoo journey began with pure curiosity and a drive to create. That curiosity led to a two-year apprenticeship in Scottsdale where he laid the foundation for what would become an 18-year career defined by technical precision, artistic depth, and a collaborative approach to every piece. From the start, Xtian knew tattooing wasn’t just about skill—it was about evolution, and he’s been pushing his craft forward ever since.
Currently tattooing at Club Tattoo in Scottsdale, Arizona, Xtian is known for his ability to handle complex cover-ups, micro-realism, black and grey and color realism, and fine line work with equal confidence. His favorite subjects draw from nature—plants, animals, and organic textures that let him blend realism with creativity. Whether it’s a high-detail piece or a delicate fine line design, Xtian’s focus is always on crafting art that is built to last.
He believes the best tattoos are made through collaboration. By working closely with clients, he creates unique, meaningful designs that reflect each person’s vision while incorporating his years of technique and artistic insight. A lifelong learner, Xtian continuously explores new methods and pushes himself to stay at the forefront of tattoo artistry.
Xtian’s influences are rooted in the people around him. His coworkers have consistently inspired him, and his style is a culmination of techniques gathered over nearly two decades in the industry. While his influences are broad, every piece he creates is distinctly his own, shaped by experience, experimentation, and dedication.
Lately, he’s been especially drawn to micro-realism—both in color and black and grey—and finds deep satisfaction in the challenge and detail those projects demand. Outside of the studio, Xtian is just as creatively driven. He has been oil painting for 18 years, with a focus on portraits and figure work. He’s also into sculpture, thrifting, and collecting Pokémon cards.
One thing most people don’t know about him? He’s ambidextrous. While not born that way, he’s trained himself to use both hands for nearly everything, a skill that speaks to the same discipline and curiosity that launched his tattoo career. With a deep respect for the craft and a quiet confidence in his process, Xtian continues to create tattoos that are as lasting as they are personal.
