Melissa didn’t follow a straight line into tattooing. She followed her heart, a guitar, and a homemade happy face inked with a sewing needle. From her teenage years immersed in music, art, and a little rebellion, she was drawn to the world of tattoos not for shock value but for its creative power. What began as DIY ink on her own skin turned into a calling that led to apprenticeships in Las Vegas. Thirteen years later, Melissa is still doing what she loves: transforming skin into art and moments into memories.
Now tattooing at Club Tattoo inside The LINQ Hotel and Experience in Las Vegas, Melissa brings a distinct blend of edge and empathy to every session. She’s known for her whip shading, clean linework, and creative takes on floral designs, though her style stretches far beyond trends. Clients come to her for tattoos that reflect who they are, whether it’s a darkly playful horror theme, a music-inspired piece, or something totally off the wall and one of a kind. Melissa believes tattoos don’t always have to be heavy with meaning. They can be snapshots of a moment, a feeling, or just something that sparks joy.
But her work is about more than aesthetics. It’s about connection. Melissa’s approach to tattooing is rooted in human experience. She’s seen the chair become a place of laughter, healing, vulnerability, and strength for both client and artist. She believes there’s no such thing as a random encounter in her studio, and her clients often leave with more than a tattoo. They leave with a memory, a bond, or a little piece of peace.
Melissa draws inspiration from fellow artists and the clients she collaborates with, always finding new ways to stretch her style and story. Her most meaningful piece is a memorial tattoo for a close friend who lost his wife, honoring the animal rescue nonprofit she founded. It was a powerful reminder of how ink can carry love, loss, and legacy all in one breath.
Outside of tattooing, Melissa’s life is just as expressive. Music is her lifeblood. She picked up a guitar at 15, joined a few garage bands, and recently rediscovered her passion for playing. She’s also diving into drums, synths, and songwriting. When she’s not making music, she’s writing horror fiction, chasing a childhood dream of publishing her own novel. It’s no surprise that creativity spills into every corner of her life.
Despite the tattoos and tough exterior, Melissa is quick to remind people she’s more heart than hardness. People think I’m a badass, she says, but I’m really just a big softy and a hopeless romantic. That balance of grit and grace, ink and emotion, is what makes Melissa’s work and presence unforgettable.
