Ryan C.
Arizona Tattoo Artist
Meet Ryan, a skilled tattoo artist, who has 12 years total in the industry, with 8 years professionally mastering his craft with his machine. Initially, it was a slow start with having to undergo two separate apprenticeships, but with some patience and dedication, graduating to a machine was possible. The passion for art started around 4 years old, drawing any cartoon that was in sight, and the journey progressed from there. Later on, art mediums changed to color pencils, water colors, and oil painting, but nothing would ever top the artistry involved with tattooing. Ryan specializes in a variety of styles such as neo traditional, traditional, black and grey, illustrative, surrealism, dark art horror, stipple/dot work, floral, and animals. A cross between neo traditional and new school is a personal favorite, though.

About the Artist
Ryan’s journey into tattooing started right after high school when he landed his first apprenticeship in Apache Junction, Arizona. Always drawn to creative expression, he explored different art mediums before discovering that tattooing was the one that truly stuck. He later refined his training in Glendale, Arizona, where he deepened both his technical skills and his commitment to the craft. Since August 21, 2013, Ryan has been turning inspiration into bold, unforgettable tattoos.
Currently tattooing at Club Tattoo in Scottsdale, Ryan blends neo traditional and new school styles with a love for heavy color saturation and bold, clean lines. He also works in opaque black and grey, giving clients a powerful contrast between softness and strength. His favorite subjects include animals, florals, and textured horror elements, allowing him to balance organic beauty with edgy, story rich visuals.
Ryan’s approach is deeply intuitive. He draws inspiration from music and real life photo references, but he believes tattoos do not always need to have deep meaning. Sometimes, it is simply about loving the art enough to wear it for life. This mindset allows him to create pieces that are both visually striking and deeply personal, whether they come from a place of passion or pain.
As a kid, Ryan looked up to artists like Guy Aitchison. Today, he finds inspiration in creators like Igo Mitreng, Daniels ARV, Devin Coley, and Mike Stockings. But more than anything, it is his children who push him to keep evolving. He often channels past struggles into his work, using tattooing as an emotional outlet that produces some of his most impactful art.
One standout project for Ryan was a full Tim Burton leg sleeve. It pushed him outside his comfort zone and allowed him to explore a whole new side of his artistic identity. At Club Tattoo, he feels right at home surrounded by what he considers some of the best artists in the industry. The camaraderie, trust, and creative energy in the shop continue to fuel his growth every day.
Outside of the studio, Ryan lives for the outdoors. Whether he is at the gym, on a motorcycle, or exploring lakes and hiking trails, he is always seeking new ways to stay grounded and inspired. Most people would not guess that he once worked livestock—steers, sheep, goats, and pigs included—but that rugged background adds even more grit to his already bold personality.
One unforgettable experience in his career came during a convention in El Paso, Texas, when a gallery surprised him with a body suspension demonstration. It was intense, unexpected, and unforgettable, just like the best parts of tattooing.
Ryan thrives on creativity, movement, and connection. He loves seeing styles like graffiti and realism collide, and he brings that same energy into every tattoo he creates. If you are looking for ink that tells a story and leaves an impression, Ryan is ready to make it happen.
