Michael didn’t plan on becoming a piercer — it found him by chance. One day, a friend yelled across the mall asking if he wanted to work at a new studio. That unexpected moment turned into a career that’s now spanned 15 years and counting. He completed his formal training under Chris Matakis in San Diego back in 2010, and he’s been piercing professionally ever since.
Now working out of Club Tattoo at The Venetian, Michael has built a reputation for ear curation — crafting custom looks that work with each client’s unique anatomy and aesthetic. His favorite piercing to perform? The daith. It’s technical, challenging, and when done right, it looks incredibly satisfying. That level of detail is where Michael shines.
Michael’s approach is all about education. He believes in quality piercings, with quality jewelry, and quality aftercare — but most importantly, in collaboration. He loves helping clients find the perfect jewelry piece first, then designing a piercing plan around it. It’s that extra attention that transforms a piercing into something truly personal.
What inspires him most is the people. After all these years, it’s still the one-on-one connections that fuel his passion — hearing stories, sharing moments, and being a small part of someone’s self-expression. One that stands out: an older gentleman came in for a simple lobe piercing, explaining how he’d always wanted a gold hoop like the sailors he served with, but his wife had disapproved. When asked if she’d finally said yes, he replied, “No, she passed away — this one’s for me.”
Michael brings not only skill but warmth to every session — and outside the studio, he brings that same energy to his city. He’s the owner of Las Vegas Car Meets, DRVN Detail and Design, and Car Scene Network, and spends his time off organizing donation drives and community service projects.
If you’re looking for a piercer who balances precision with people, who leads with education and finishes with impact — Michael’s someone you’ll remember long after the piercing is done.
