About the Artist
For Kobay, tattooing is more than art on skin — it’s living, breathing work that grows with each client over a lifetime. His journey began in 2003 with a tattoo on himself, and by 2007 he was tattooing professionally, entirely self-taught and driven by relentless practice and passion.
Specializing in realism in both color and black & grey, he thrives on high-contrast, large-scale projects that showcase dramatic light, shadow, and intricate detail. Whether creating portraits, animals, or nature-inspired elements, his goal is always the same: to design tattoos that are deeply personal, technically flawless, and built to stand the test of time.
His work is shaped by influences from nature, photography, and industry icons like Dmitriy Samohin, Den Yakovlev, Guy Aitchison, Paul Booth, and Robert Hernandez. Each piece carries the depth of his experiences and the inspiration of the masters who pushed him to explore realism at its highest level.
Currently tattooing at Club Tattoo Miracle Mile in Las Vegas, Kobay thrives in the studio’s family-like atmosphere, where collaboration and high standards fuel constant growth. Among his proudest pieces is a full sleeve based on Peter Paul Rubens’ Descent from the Cross — a challenging project that demanded precision, flow, and artistic problem-solving to transform a masterpiece into wearable art.
Outside the studio, he’s a skydiver, traveler, and adventurer, always seeking new experiences that spark creativity and perspective in his work. His career has brought unforgettable moments, from tattooing idols like Mike DeVries to judging alongside Paul Booth — milestones that reflect how far passion and persistence can take you.
For Kobay, tattooing isn’t about trends or shortcuts. It’s about craft, experience, and creating meaningful work that lives with each client forever.
